Architects Alaska traces its existence back to Edwin Crittenden, who founded the original firm back in 1950. We’re proud to follow in his footsteps and over the years have grown in to a fully staffed and highly capable Architectural Design Firm with offices in Anchorage and Wasilla.
Our firm is managed by five principals that are actively practicing architecture and take a “hands-on” approach to all our projects. Four of them are listed in this proposal and at least two principals will an active role on every task order under this contract.
Additional staff includes a total of eight registered architects and two interior designers. We have two senior architectural technicians, each with over 20 years experience in production and project management available for your projects. We also have five advanced interns who are currently in the process of taking their professional registration exams.
As a firm, Architects Alaska is committed to sustainable design, historic preservation and building efficiency. We’re proud to have six individuals on our team with LEED AP certification, two of which are principals.
We work together to maximize the contribution of our team to the design process and can reassign personnel as needed to accommodate accelerated schedules or additional service requests. Our size allows us to handle projects ranging in complexity from small renovations to large, multi-phased projects such as Service High School Renewal (approximately $75 million), and Providence Cancer Center ($30 million).
