Melanie Mangione, AIA, ASID, CHID, WELL AP
Principal
Melanie has over 20 years of professional experience, but has been creating, crafting, and designing since she was old enough to hold a pair of scissors. Melanie has completed a diverse portfolio of projects at Architects Alaska. She has completed work from high-end custom residential to low-income housing renovations and new high-rise commercial office buildings to modernization of government staff support buildings. Melanie enjoys working on local projects in her community as well as remote and various locations across the United States.
Melanie’s favorite part of design is to re-imagine an existing space into a new experience. Her clients say she is excellent at meeting deadlines and has a knack for finding solutions that work with the materials already on-site or materials that are readily accessible in order to meet the construction deadline. Melanie is always flexible and makes sure the client’s needs and vision are met for each project.
Melanie manages the Bozeman, Montana office for Architects Alaska. She has her Architectural License in both Montana and Alaska and is a Certified Interior designer, CHID (Certified Healthcare Interior Designer) and a WELL AP with The International WELL Building Institute. She is also pursuing LEED certification.
In her free time, Melanie wears many hats. She is an ice sculptor, teacher, dog trainer, marshmallow artist, chef, volunteer, golfer, and multimedia artist. She is always busy creating something new. Melanie also loves traveling and takes every opportunity to travel and experience new places, cultures, and architecture. Her favorite place to visit is Palm springs for the Mid-Century design.
