Steve Schell, AIA
Project Manager, Senior Architect
Steve joined Architects Alaska in 2007 and has over 17 years of experience in architecture. Steve is well versed in many of the roles within a design team; from design conception through construction administration, he maintains consistent results.
Steve’s expertise is designing new public and industrial facilities, as well as creating solutions for existing structures which integrate modern materials and sustainable features.
Steve’s architectural philosophy encompasses a belief to design responsibly for clients. As an enthusiast of the community, the environment, and architecture, he strives to employ out-of-the-box thinking strategies which exceed our clients’ expectations and fit well with the community and environment immediately surrounding the structure.
On most days, Steve commutes to work via bicycle. When not biking, he commutes on foot with his two dogs, Walter and Jake. He has a love for gardening, kayaking, and is actively involved with Bike Anchorage. We believe Steve is an Alaskan at heart, born in Pennsylvania.
