Join our team-oriented, collaborative environment as a Medical Planner Architect. This role requires a licensed architect with at least 10 years of experience specializing in commercial construction and healthcare design. Candidates without a license should have at least 15 years of related experience and be actively pursuing licensure.
You should possess excellent oral and written communication and organization skills, have technical proficiency in interdisciplinary coordination, construction detailing, code analysis, and compliance with industry standards. Must possess strong hand and digital sketching skills for effectively conveying design and detailing concepts. Experience in organizing and executing design development and construction documents is essential. The role involves coordinating with consultants, writing and managing specifications and technical documents, and providing project assistance to the Principal Architect.
The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities presented by Alaska’s diverse and evolving environment, particularly in healthcare facility design. Candidates should demonstrate experience in creating thoughtful and innovative design solutions that integrate program requirements, site conditions, and stakeholder priorities, all while upholding the highest standards of design excellence. Importantly, the successful candidate will embody integrity and respect, principles that guide our professional service delivery and client interactions.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, primarily focusing on our healthcare design market sector. Experience in healthcare projects is highly beneficial, although having a background with institutional clients across various sectors is also valuable for our current needs. General Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture
• Licensed or 15 years’ experience / licensure track
• Ability to work independently / be self-directed yet be collaborative & team oriented
• Ability to prioritize work activities and consistently meet deadlines
• Revit proficiency
• Sketch-Up proficiency a plus
