This 31-unit senior housing project is located on Palmer’s Independent Living Senior Housing Campus. It is the first project constructed on this master-planned campus. It has planned two additional senior housing apartment buildings, a new senior center facility, an assisted living center, and a retail center. This three-story facility features a two-story entry lobby with a second-floor balcony and a lobby over the entry lobby. Connecting all three floors are stairwells and an elevator that opens onto a third-floor lobby with access to a rooftop deck. Each floor features a double-loaded corridor starting at each lobby and ending in a sitting room or library area. Single-bedroom units open off each side of the corridor, with two-bedroom units on each. Other features include a central laundry room, a manager’s office, and electronic security at the entry door controlled from each apartment. Each apartment has its own deck or patio and is fully accessible.
The building is designed to provide views from the rooftop deck to the east of the Chugach Mountains. It is fully landscaped, with accessible parking for all residents and retaining much of the natural surrounding birch forest to the west.
