Our team has worked on several renovation projects over the last 10 years to improve the Galena Interior Learning Academy (GILA) Campus as part of a term contract with the Galena City School District. GILA is a residential vocational school with a mission of providing students with useful occupational skills to benefit communities throughout Alaska. Programs offered include aviation, mechanics, and engine repair, construction, media, information technology, cosmetology, and culinary arts. Significant projects include:

Transformation of a 13,000 SF ex-Air Force Base headquarters into a state-of-the-art STEM facility. - Kkuskkuno (Student Union Building)
A revamped $3.2 million space with student lounges, cafe, dance hall, kitchen, and more. - Vocational Education Building
A renovated $2.5 million center for wood, metal, and mechanical training. - GILA Gymnasium Upgrade
$5 million project transforming a military gym into a recreational area for 375 individuals. - DINING Hall
Comprehensive refurbishment focusing on energy efficiency, accessibility, and enhanced dining experiences.
