    SOUTH PENINSULA HOSPITAL MASTER PLAN

Nestled in the Kenai Peninsula, the South Peninsula Hospital (SPH) stands at a crossroads of transformation. Recognizing its challenges, from aging infrastructures to capacity concerns, the Kenai Peninsula Borough sought the expertise of Architects Alaska and NBBJ. Their collaboration birthed a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (FMP) that charts the course for the hospital’s next decade.

The process was immersive. After extensive reviews, on-site sessions, and iterative discussions, a forward-looking blueprint emerged. This wasn’t just about renovating or expanding; it was a visionary plan tailored to address immediate needs while anticipating future healthcare trends.

Central to their vision is a design that ensures smooth vehicle movement, intuitive wayfinding, and adaptable spaces. Importantly, the strategic plan outlines the future state, capital improvements, and profitability of suggested expansion and market needs. It’s more than just a plan; it’s a commitment to fostering a thriving, responsive, and community-centric health facility for years to come.
